Carter Stokes was back behind the wheel of his Chevy Rocket for a doubleheader weekend of dirt late model racing at the famed Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL.

First night was good and 2nd night gets even better!! With an unlucky pill draw at sign in, Stokes found himself starting back row in his heat race Friday night. With only eight laps on tap  for the heat race, there's not much time to work with. At the drop of the green flag, Stokes dug into the wet track and earned a P5 finish in his Chevy.

The feature lineup was set by the heat races and Stokes found himself starting   from the 9th position for the night's 25-lap main event. Starting deep in the field always ups the likihood of getting caught up in someones else's drama. As  the field sailed off into Turn 1 on the initial start, a few cars got together ahead of Stokes and he took a hard shot to the right side as he was making his way through the melee. With no major damage apparent, Stokes got down to the business of racing. Lap by lap he worked his way toward the front. At the end of the night Stokes brought his MEDIAMIX365 Chevy home to a P3 finish. Oh, by the way, he did it without brakes! Apprarently, the wreak on lap 1 and the heavy mud from the track knocked the rear brakes off the car.

Saturday night's pill draw was a litte more beneficial. Carter drew a low number which earned him the pole position for this heat race. A controversial start actually cost Stokes the lead on the initial green flag, but Carter refused to let that get to him. With a job to do, he wheeled that Chevy-powered Rocket home to a P2 finish!!

As a result of a four car inversion, Stokes found himself with the best view for the start of the feature. Pole position! There was no controversy this time. The Team33 hot rod took command of the race from the drop of the green flag. Lap after lap, some of the best dirt racers in the country were hot on Carter's tail and taking shots at him at every turn. Stokes was laser focused and the pace of the race was very fast. This put the leaders into lap traffic very early on. As the front runners weaved through the rolling road blocks, Carter's job became that much more difficult. He fought off several side-by-side battles, all while refusing to give up the lead. At the end of 25 hard fought laps and several "spot on" restarts, Stokes brought his Chevy Rocket home to a P1 finish. As he pulled the Team33 Rocket into Victory Lane, the deafening roar of the crowd showed their approval.

Congratulations Mr. Stokes ! Winner Winner !!
