Carter Stokes has been burning up the dirt tracks for the past four years at Volusia Speedway Park, Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, and other tracks scattered through Georgia and the Carolinas.

The 18- year old Daytona Beach dirver earned the 2014 "Rookie of the Year" title in the United Dirt Late Model Seriers.

In 2015 he had three, top -10 and nine top-5 finishes with a dominating win at Volusia in October.

During the end of the 2015 racing season, Stokes, who is a development driver for Richard Childress Racing, made his debut on asphalt and the transition from dirt to asphalt was impressive.

He posted the fasted lap of all competitors in the first Pro Late Model practice and finished second in his first asphalt oval race.

He rounded out his season with the Florida Governors Cup in the Pro Late division by finishing third.

With the help of some loyal sponsors he will be racing his No. 33 in a Race Car Solutions Pro Late Model. Race Car Solutions is a local company that works with drivers and puts together some super- fast race cars.

Jamie Skinner and Dustin Skinner, who are the sons of former NASCAR driver Mike Skinner, own RCS and are excited to work with such young talent.

Mike Skinner is coaching Stokes through Speedweeks at New Smyrna Speedway.

Mike Skinner's wife Angie, said, "Carter is doing it the right way by learning such good car control with his dirt experience."

Stokes' sponsor lineup includes American Auto Tire and Services, Mediamix365, Atlantis Contractors, Red and Black Sports Club, and Richard Childress Racing.
